We are about to embark upon a great crusade,

While this may not be the greatest of crusades it has certainly been many months of work. It is amazing the amount of doubt, hesitation, and fear that building something from the ground up can generate. The concern that the juice will not be worth the squeeze, and whether or not it will be met with jubilation or derision. At many points in time it felt as though it wasn’t possible, or that it couldn’t possibly be worth the effort involved. Looking back through some slightly rose tinted glasses it feels almost like a dream. Now the final product has been launched and only time will tell how successful it will be.

The final steps of updating the audio, improving the file compression, and adding the finishing touches is complete. The project, hopefully the first of many, finally has a name. It is called the Mind Behind the Masterpiece and can be found on the Apple app store. The plan moving forward will be to build more artist biographies and develop a monetization strategy. Ideally all future biographies will be sold to users for a single, one time, flat fee of $1.99. Depending, of course, on how much growing this project into a company will require. It certainly doesn’t help that Apple will take an approximate 30% cut, and Unity costs an annual $2,200 fee to get their Pro plan. In any event, be sure to play your smallest violin on our behalf!
