Polishing the project

The move into Unity 6 was straightforward and now the polishing of the final project is commencing. Things like ensuring the audio sounds good, transitions looking smooth, adding an end screen, and providing the user a way to scrub through the scenes will round out the project. Additionally adding some form of monetization will provide a gauge of interest. At the moment the plan is to provide subscriptions which will let users become, “Assistant Director”, “Director”, “Producers”, and “Executive Producers”. These will be optional, but will help the project to grow. Another piece of the plan is to include ads with the paintings if possible, or banner ads, to further improve monetization.

While this is generally a passion project the plan to monetize the project seems rational after pouring so many hours into it. Originally it was planned that this would be completed months ago, but Unity proved tougher than anticipated. The path forward is much clearer now and the aims of the project are coming to fruition. It is both a frustrating time and exciting one. Hopefully when everything is ready to launch it will be easy to market the project, but that may be a bit too wishful.
