MVP to production

Completion of the MVP has allowed us to move forward with the project. Reinvestigating the original sample project, from Unity, provided a goal of focusing on a simpler solution. As soon as the MVP was complete there was a loss of focus on the ultimate goal of delivering the product. Due to developing this on a bit of a shoestring budget it would be best practice to simplify and deliver this as soon as possible. The minor problem with this is that frustration is starting to creep in as it feels like taking a step backwards. Longterm these decisions will improve the final product, but in the moment are annoying.

Additionally the project will upgrade to Unity 6 for production. Not only to utilize the improved performance, but also to use the streamlined workflows that this newer version provides. The decision by Unity to walk back the runtime fees were welcomed, and hopefully they won’t do something that shortsighted again. Unity has made strides in bringing back small developers like this one, and will ideally continue to do so!
